Have to give a shout out to the Women&#8217;s Cross-Country team, who won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP yesterday in great fashion, easily beating out runners-up Florida State and previously #1 ranked Washington.

<p>Have to give a shout out to the Women&#8217;s Cross-Country team, <a href="http://www.villanova.com/sports/c-xc/spec-rel/112309aab.html" target="_blank"><strong>who won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP yesterday in great fashion</strong></a>, easily beating out runners-up <strong>Florida State</strong> and previously #1 ranked <strong>Washington</strong>.</p>
<p>This was the 8th national title for the team, but the first for Coach <strong>Gina Procaccio</strong>.</p>

<p>5 Villanova runners scored for the team en route to the title. Runners and times are as follows:</p>

<li>Senior <strong>Nicole Schappert</strong> &#8211; 20:38.1</li>
</ul>
<p>Congrats to the entire team on a great season and for bringing Villanova it&#8217;s 17th Athletic National Championship!</p>
