Ugh…my concern is how do you get up for a team you already beat twice this year (barely). And we wont have Dwayne Anderson to bail us out!

This will be the 6th meeting in the last 2 years between these two teams, that’s unheard of in the 16 team Big East.

If nothing else this game gives me an excuse to watch the replay of Anderson’s buzzer-beater on youtube.

Run ‘em. Hopefully they don’t have their legs after today. Defend the 3, force em inside, Don’t put em on the line ie avoid the ticky tac fouls ie touch and hand checks. Stay at home once in a while or for Christ’s sake recover fast if we’re beat.

Still sucks about Scottie though. This team could have used the boost to their psyche after the past couple weeks. Let’s hope it still provides a lot of motivation. Being from Syracuse and having a lot of friends that are now SU alums, I’d love another crack at them.

I’m not angry that Scottie didn’t win. If it was to go to a ‘Cuse player, it should’ve been Rautins. Johnson was very good for them early on, but Rautins has been their best player the whole year. Rautins is the one who got snubbed.

I have no issue with coach of the year. It was either him or Dixon.

I’m not saying Boeheim doesn’t deserve coach of the year, because he most certainly does. I’m saying that Johnson doesn’t get POY because there was some void where a suitable candidate could be drawn from so that it would make sense to just take the best player from the best team.

I dont think anybody on Syracuse’s roster was highly recruited. Say what you want about Boeheim and Syracuse but i’m very impressed with how well they play together. Also, isnt recruiting part of being a successful coach?

You look at the talent levels on the team. Losing Devendorf/Harris/Flynn was a great group of talent however what cuse brought in was head over heels better than Pitts roster and recruitment for 2010.

Boeheim did a nice job putting together a bunch of 4 and 5 stars into a elite program. Pitt had to make 3 stars become a top program after losing what I would agrue as a more talented group than what Cuse lost in Blair/Fields/and old big lips.
