If you think that title makes no sense, you can talk to Jamie and Andrew, who have emblazoned that saying into my head for all eternity. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture.

Note: I can’t decide whether to ignore the fact that Amare Stoudemire YouTube’d Dante first, or just say this was awesome revenge.

Scottie Reynolds graced the cover for Sports Illustrated’s annual College Basketball preview. I’m guessing this is the Northeast Regional version, but not sure exactly. Good for you Scottie. Hopefully no curses come from this.

The issue hits news stands tomorrow. Luckily I’ve got my sources at SI and have the Villanova preview in my hands already!

The ‘Nova Nation Twitter page had 3 more pictures from last night’s dinner at the reunion. They also promised some video from inside the event in the coming weeks. Can’t wait for that.

Great picture of the entire family here. It includes the current team as well as the past players and coaches. This kind of thing really strikes home. Major thanks again to The ‘Nova Nation Twitter people.

By the way Kyle Lowry twittered that they scrimmaged young guys against the vets and that the alums won 4 games while the young guys won once. Go old(er) people!

More will be coming later on, but thanks to The ‘Nova Nation Twitter Page we have an inside look at some of the former stars gathering for a little reunion. After years of living in Connecticut and seeing Jim Calhoun bringing back all the former players for a charity All-Star game, I’m glad to see this happening at Villanova. They should really think about making this a public event for ‘Nova Nation.

As Jay say, Once a Wildcat, Always a Wilcat! Enjoy!

Cunningham humbled after recent contract offer

For most 22 year-olds, a guaranteed large sum of money would most likely turn into a spending spree.  Dante Cunningham is not a part of most 22 year-olds though.  With his contract officially signed with the Portland Trailblazers, Dante remains humbled, as all he continues to think about is the upcoming season and helping the team win.  Center Court, the official Trailblazers blog written by Casey Holdahl, caught up with Cunningham, and he discussed his thoughts on certain topics now that the contract is signed.

Dante, on what he plans to do with his big salary:

I really don’t want much.  I just really, really want to play ball.  I’m going to bring out my old truck from college out here.  I live in a townhouse so I really don’t need much here.  It’s kind of a laid back kind of place.  You really don’t need to be flashy or anything like that out here.

On what he’s been up to lately, Cunningham states:

I got here Wednesday, signed on Friday, found a house Saturday, so I’m moving in today.  It’s rolling along right now.  Guys are coming in.  It’s clicking.  I’m liking Portland a whole lot.

Regarding rookie hazing:

Jerryd Bayless talked to me a little bit about it at summer league.  He informed on a couple of tricks, who to stay away from.  Everyone goes through it.  It’s a rite of passage.  Hey, I’m ready for it.  Hopefully no one gets too crazy, too overboard on me.

It’s great to see that Dante hasn’t changed one bit since moving on to the NBA.  Humbled, poised, hard-working.  No glamour.

New court design at The Wachovia Center

The Philadelphia 76ers unveiled their new court design at The Wachovia Center, it what is a throwback look to the classic 76ers colors.

CLICK HERE to see some more photos of the new court design.

…Minor news…but I love the change in color scheme for the court, especially since we’ll be playing on it…I never liked the black they incorporated and even though that’s not Villanova blue, it will look much better on gamedays, especially with a ‘V’ at midcourt and ‘Villanova’ on the endlines…

Picture: The poster

So before our trek to Detroit, Liz and her friends Jackie and Heather decided that they absolutely hated Tyler Hansbrough. I’ve never heard 3 girls talk so much smack before. But naturally, with North Carolina in our sights I enjoyed every minute of it. They decided that they needed to put their feelings about him onto cardboard, and the result was fantastic.

Hansbrough may have got the last laugh, but this sign has to rank up there with the all-time greats. Below is a picture of Liz (on the left) and her friend Jen with the sign. This sign was prominent in the preGame tent at Bookie’s. And it even made its way into the hands of Blue Man! once we got inside Ford Field. So if you saw that sign at any point on Saturday, you probably met my girlfriend, and possibly even me.

Special thanks to FedEx Kinko’s and White Tavern Vodka, who were instrumental in the construction of this bad boy.

So Dante Cunningham and Ty Lawson used to play on the same team. And we have the picture to prove it!

Click here to read an article about how Cunningham and Lawson were brought up, and how their fathers put them in a position to succeed. But really, that picture says it all. Look at Dante’s face!
