No, I’m not kidding. According to The Villanovan, the Dept. of Athletics has officially approved tailgating for single-game ticket holders, for $20 per car in Pike Lot. In years past, only season-ticket holders were allowed to tailgate in the lots behind Villanova Stadium.

Will the Wildcat be passed out or cheering?
“This decision was in large part due to the feedback we have received from fans over time,” Nicastro said. “[The decision] is designed to accommodate Villanova football supporters who wish to enjoy some food, beverage and fellowship prior to our games.”
Students will be allowed to join in the tailgating, but police will be on hand to strictly enforce underage drinking.
…My initial reaction was that this was all a joke…finally they come around and realize that there is money to be made, and that they can attract more people (and students most importantly) this way…like that fact or not Villanova needed to allow this…and I’m really pumped that they have…$20 a car is nothing when you’ve got 4-5 people in each one…
…The next step is to allow this for on-campus basketball games…but I can’t see that happening anytime soon…
