I’ve been pretty absent around here lately, but we’ve had about 5 straight days of sunshine after 3 straight weeks of rain, so can you really blame me? Even my Irish skin was out enjoying this past weekend. Anyways…

Fisher is shining for the Stars and Stripes at the World University Games. In the opening game of group play against Finland, Fisher poured in 12 points and added 2 steals en route to and 87-40 win for the Americans. On Independence Day (for us anyways), Fisher touched up South Korea for 7 points and 2 steals as the US crushed South Korea 113-76.

Fisher continued his strong play in a 108-77 win over Greece that put the US into the Medal Round. Corey recorded 9 points and 3 assists in the contest. Finally, Fisher closed the door on host Serbia with a free throw with 5.3 seconds remaining to give the US the win over Serbia 68-66. Fisher and the rest of the American team will face Bulgaria on July 9th.

…Fisher has been performing well…he’s had 2-3 turnovers per game but he is standing out on a team that has a lot of good college players on it…keep it up Corey…
