I think all across Villanova, more people are going to the game tomorrow. That place SHOULD be rocking, there really is no excuse if it isn’t.

HfS — I heard the students were pretty wild the whole game, but they were relegated to the upper tank. The problem was (and always has been) the big ticket alumni who sit on their hands close to the court until prompted to actually get up and cheer.

Jaime, you forget that Jason Frasier was the second ranked Big Man behind Amare Stoudemire in his class…so our second big time big man recruit. I got to give Frasier respect, due to injuries he didn’t play much and people forgot how much he did for this program.

Hey Chris–I was at the game in Section 201. The NOVA kids up there were fantastic the enitre game. The Wachovia “police” tried to get them to sit down…can you imagine? Even still they were cheering loudly the whole game. I was afraid NOVA fans would nor show up, but I think withoutthem the second half might not have happened.

I choose to look at this game as a half full win. Now teams will know not matter what their lead, NOVA will not rest until the game is won by them.
GO NOVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vinnie – just to clarify two things. I completely messed up when it came to saying the “team” is young… I meant to say to the tune that the current high level success of the program is still rather young – as we have our first big man great recruit on the way next year – not necessarily this specific team.

Our team is young? We start 3 seniors and 2 juniors and dont play a single frosh. Last year’s team was young. This year’s team is an experienced Sweet 16 team from last year.

Next year’s team could be better, but we’re going to miss Dante and Dwayne. THIS is our year!

Scottie is due for a huge game.

Also CBS sucks for cutting away from the Nova game with 2 mins left. They were all hoping for an upset but when it was clear that was not going to happen they switched to the Gonzaga game.

Also it’s funny how come no one is critical of the American coach and why his players ran out of gas. Oh no, no one is saying that. Instead they love to dream up the upset and how we survived. Well guess what we won! Trust me if that was Nova everyone would be complaining about Jay. Why are our guys so tired? Please! Nova is very good team and remember this one loss never became two losses. I am sick and tired of hearing about how bad a coach Jay is. Trust me he is very very good coach! Also look at our incoming class and transfers and red shirts who are available for next year. LET’S GO NOVA!

Chris this I agree with. Even when I was at the G,town game people behind me were telling me to sit down. Can you imagine. This is a big problem. The fans who are fortunate enough to get to the center need to get loud.

Also going forward I think this needs to be fixed. The students sit behind the basket at the wachovia center is fine for the ones who are down low. The others are basically in the nose bleed and are ineffective in cheering the team on. If you look at Duke’s home games they are behind the basket and are almost court side creating havoc and cheering loudly. We need to do something about this.

I believe if our students were lower and along the court side they would be much more effective in providing a home court advantage.
