I don’t know about you, but I’m still thankful we escaped last night. That’s the one thing about this team, they avoid the bad losses, even if it means ugly wins. That’s a good quality to have and it will prove to be huge to us when seeding comes around.

Here’s some light reading for everyone.

I’ve got another final this afternoon, but I’ll make sure to get some Georgetown posts going soon. They’re about as big a blog community as us, so it shouldn’t be too hard.

Dick Jeradi is absolutely correct. Furthermore, I completely agree with you that (1) he should have MORE MINUTES and (2) his role as “the SIXTH MAN” is perfect for this team. Reminds me of the (frustrating for us older Sixer fans) role Havlichek played for Boston. Havlichek was arguably the best guy on those Celtic teams…but he played off the bench AND he played probably the most minutes. unfortunately Jay is only half of an Auerbach…he gets the sixth man part but not the MAX minutes needed.

Back to Jerardi – NO ONE stops this kid when he wants it (which is regularly). He is a gem who has markedly imprved every game. His turnovers are way down and assists up. Did you note that rocket pass he made to Pena underneath? Whoaaa…give him the PT!!!

Completely agree. If you read that Hoops Weiss article earlier this year, you could see that Fisher really got it and it was only a matter of time before he took over.

He changed his diet, got more responsible off the court and is working his ass off on defense. His defense against Flynn was superb.

Fisher needs his minutes increased though. This isn’t just a hot streak he’s on. He’s really put it all together.

Do you think Jay’s trying to fly him “under the radar”?

Maybe you see the minutes go up dramatically in the big dance?

Stan,

If he is trying to do that, I’m not a fan. We’re getting down to crunch time. Losing now is going to cost us.

I like our starting lineup. It’s senior laden and they play defense first and they’re bigger and wear the opponent down. Love Fisher coming off the bench against a tired team.

But his total minutes need to go up, because you could make the argument he’s been the best player on the floor the last couple of weeks. He hasn’t had a bad game in a long time.

Come to think of it Chris, your points are excellent and I agree.

Wright’s refusal to increase Fisher’s minutes is what is eventually going to cause this team to lose its final game of the season, hopefully later than sooner, though.

Pete,

And as you say that, watch Fisher play like 35 minutes on Saturday and we lose anyways.

I don’t think Fisher not playing much is going to cause us to lose (cause a lot of things can cause that), I’d just like to see him play more (I know you would as well) and think we would be better with him playing more minutes.

Right now, I think we’re going to drop one of the last 2 games. Probably ND in my opinion. They are almost cooked, but are so tough at home and their Harangody and McChronic will play with a lot of pride.
