I’ve got some good links for you as I wait for my classes to start. I still can’t stop thinking about that game last night. Villanova is playing phenomenal basketball right now, and it’s amazing to watch.
- Dick “Hoops” Weiss recounts the game for the New York Daily News, along with a quote from Marquette Coach Buzz Williams who says that Villanova is playing as well as anyone in the country, including UConn.
- In the Philly Inquirer, Joe Juliano reminds us that this isn’t the Loyola Marymount (I’m way too young for that reference) we’re watching, but the team loves it according to Scottie Reynolds.
- Mike Kern of The Philly Daily News relays Jay Wright’s hopefulness that Dwayne Anderson suffered only a hyperextension of his injured knee. Test results should be available later today.
- bamamarquettefan1 looks back on last night for Cracked Sidewalks, believing that Marquette played well and just ran into the wrong team at the wrong time. (I tend to agree).
- Tim at Nova News recaps the game last night by telling us that “We’re Going Streaking!” I’ll admit that I laughed out loud at that one. Well done.
- The Bleacher Report lets everyone know that if you weren’t before, it’s time to taken Villanova seriously.
Enjoy these and enjoy the game. Let’s all say a prayer for Dwayne as well. We’re going to need him and it’d be a shame to see such a great senior season cut short.
